Beach Day

I took kids to the beach today, was a bit dubious what weather was going to be like but as beach is only 15mins along the road by car wasn't too far to go. It was a fantastic afternoon, lots of sandcastles/volcanos made.

The tide was in so kids could easily run back and forwards with buckets of water and as they had waterproofs and wellies on they stayed relatively dry. We had beach to ourselves apart from the few dog walkers that passed and beach had just been cleaned so was a bit like first footprints in snow.

A quick stop at the indoor café for ice-cream for the kids and a cuppa for me then it was a visit to wee park and back along the beach to write names / draw in the sand as tide went out and got home in time for dinner. Hopefully its tired them out so much they'll sleep well tonight.
