Waiting in Elgin Street

This morning I saw a young woman sitting on the wall outside her home (at least I presume it's where she stays), reading the morning newspaper, and (again presumably) waiting for someone.

At the other end of the wall was a cat. The cat's ears betray its alertness. I had stopped and spoken to the young woman, who (despite looking as if she thought I was a weirdo) said she was okay with having me take a photo.

A beautiful sky was causing some reflections in the windows of the house (better seen large). Typical old villa style houses in Grey Lynn.

Went to the South Auckland inpatient unit to do a second opinion for a Judge's hearing. Took the morning. Then a bit of work at the office. Back home to enjoy a light meal and glass of wine before the city is hit by the remnants of a tropical cyclone.
