Challenging

The DDW Challenge word is Rariora, as in a rare collection, the piece de resistance of a collection, or as in books. Well these are definitely not Rariora but they are old and most have some meaning in my life. A couple are books read to me by my Dad (Black Beauty and Treasure Island)in those quiet moments together before bed in the younger years. The Good Housekeeping Cookbook was a mainstay for my mother even though she rarely used a recipe to create her wonderful dishes. The cookbook was a reference book of sorts if she was trying something new. When a child is breaking up the home of their parents when the last one is gone or moved on to another living situation, there are certain little treasures that have meaning or evoke a pleasant memory. These books do that.
