You'll remember the love you found there...
In a fit of madness tonight, I text himself as I stepped out the office and said "shall we meet at the beach and have a walk...."
Himself said "I'm cooking rice..."
I said, "I'll come home".
I drove home and changed out of my work wear.. (that is only slightly tidier than my evening wear), chivvied him up, and off we set.
We parked at the Banking, and I grabbed this shot as we stepped from the car. Within minutes the sun had disappeared behind the bank of low cloud, and the little heat there had been in the air was gone. There were at least 6 tripod owners on the rocks, all obviously hoping for a repeat of last night.
There was no one else on the top of the banking, and Himself and I stood and watched a hive of activity in the wood mill.
It was well past 6 and there were queues of lorries waiting to be loaded, and other lorries waiting to be unloaded. One crane driver was loading 10 logs a time into a massive wood sorter, which was shaving broken bark, peeling a bit more, and slicing ends off. - he was sorting through a never ending pile of logs - all of which must have been about 15 ft long - and the pile stretched way beyond a number I could count.
By the time we reached the end of the Banking, the glow of the sun had disappeared completely, the sky had darkened somewhat, and the moon was shining brightly above us. We made our way back along the foot of the banking and the rocks were all black in the evening... and the rock pools were like glass. The sea was starting to pick up a little, and we were decidedly chilly.
And now -Am back home on the couch... contemplating whether my exertions of tonight mean I can board Bella Bella and cycle to work tomorrow. Himself said if I decided to walk... I'd still be walking on Saturday :-)
