Plain Of Jars
Got up and had a cold shower for about 30 seconds then there was no water again!!! We went and hired a semi automatic scooter for the day as it was cheaper than an automatic. The only drama was neither myself or Alex can drive one and so after some laughs and lessons we were off. The reason we came here was to see a place called the "Plain of Jars" which is a field full of massive stone jars.It sounds really lame but is an incredible thing to see and I would say its just as impressive as Stonehenge. It will be an Unesco site in the near future once all the bombs are removed from the area.
The next thing we wanted to see was a cave 60km away where 347 men, woman and children were killed with a single US missile. The cave itself used to have a hospital, school and all the living accommodation to help shelter the people during the Vietnam war. The bones of the victims still lay in the cave as they could not be identified after the attack.
It was a long day of driving and my arse was in a lot of pain so it was straight into the rice wine we bought the other day. We had some food, beer and more wine before we finally went to bed.
