Jewel on the M6

Today we have driven home from Stratford on Avon and how fortunate we were to stop at the Tebay Service Station to eat our little picnic. This is in Cumbria on the M6 and the first thing that struck me was all the dogs - dozens of them - and most people seemed to have about 3 and all very smart looking pedigree breeds! Then I realised these people and their canines were all heading North from Crufts dog show which explained why they were all looking so smart!
The second thing that struck me,and probably the main reason we stopped there, was the stunning views of the surrounding hills .
The dogs had a dedicated exercise area so no wonder it was so popular with the dog show fraternity as well as others who just happened to have their dog with them.
Beside the restaurant is this lovely duck pond with ducks continually landing and swimming around.
Mrs AMK49 tells me the shops were equally attractive and stocked with local produce and other things which interested her - always good for a bit of extra photographic time!
We will stop here again.
