Keeping an eye on proceedings...

We had 2 mls of rain yesterday evening, and even through it wasn't much, it was lovely to hear it coming down on the roof. The rain also cooled the air temperature down. Unfortunately it was a hot day today, so the little bit of rain we did get, would have evaporated into the air.

There are still lots of bumble bees around, so as I can't go far at the moment, I took my camera out to the lemon tree, which is in full flower at the moment. The bees were humming! This wee fella was so busy doing whatever bees do, that it didn't notice the insect (ant?) having a nose over the top of the petal, to see what was going on. So cute!
