High Water
C and I took advantage of a welcome break in the rain to go for a walk down at Lake Padden -- though we missed the brief break in the clouds that was taunting us during breakfast.
The lake level was high and the creek flowing down through the ravine was showing a lot more white water than the last time we were there. We didn't expect to see any ducks in the creek, but C spotted a pair of mallards just as we were leaving.
When we came home after lunch there was voicemail from my Vancouver friend U inviting me to meet him for a beer at Elizabeth Station. I was already planning to go there to try the Russian River Supplication on tap -- a rare opportunity. It was excellent -- every bit as good as the Consecration I blipped a few days ago.
Here's C's Padden blip.
