Sunday sunrise
I had the joy of walking to work as the sun woke up the city and watching as it spread it's pastel hues into vivid yellows glows across the silhouetted buildings. It is always so much prettier in real life.
Work was great today, I had my weekly figures boxed off earlier than usual, Ciara bought me chai latte and did my allocation and we had a great day for sales beating both last year and forecast way before we closed. Very satisfying day, hope Paul will be pleased tomorrow when he is back in.
I met Luke from work and we bought Butlers hot chocolate for the walk home, whilst I have technically not given up chocolate for Lent, I haven't eaten any chocolate since Shrove Tuesday, but there was obviously real chocolate in my drink! Oh well, I still haven't 'eaten' any!
I put the hot water and the heating on when we got home so I could have a bath later after tea. I played socks with Ted for a bit as he was restless and crying and Luke and I settled down for a cosy evening in.
Today I am grateful for having longer to myself this morning to get my figures done, that extra hour alone before Ciara came in at 9am definitely helped get me ahead.
