Watch out for theSnake
Lake Saint Clair is a mecca for hikers and bushwalkers alike. Today we happened to be out in the wilderness and came across this venomous black snake around one metre in length. Needless to say we evaded any possibility of being bitten by keeping at "arms length" so to speak.
This National Park in the centre of Tasmania, is absolutely spectacular particularly around the lake which incidentally, is the deepest in Australia at over 170 metres.
Our first week in Tasmania has passed and tomorrow we will move on to Strath Gordon.
I wish I could enter more than one photo per day as the scenery is so good.
