Running Up That Hill
Boys slept in which meant I woke rather than was woken. A good start.
School run dressed as a knight - the school were doing dress as your favourite book character day so I was given a knight costume to send Tom to school in.
Then Alex and I did our Asda thing, came home, hung washing out, back to school, home for lentil soup (super tasty soup), then we went Morrisons, bought some tomatoes then ran up the hills by the lighthouse, caught the wind, smiled, ran, laughed, cycled home and had tacos.
B0ys were picked up after 5, and I scooted across town on a 47 armed with a TV bracket, beetroot, cabernet/merlot and a drill. Dropped all the kit and we walked down to the Cameo to watch The Grand Budapest Hotel - thoroughly enjoyed it; whimsical, funny, but subversively poignant, beautiful colours, lovely shots and sequences, twists and turns.
Then a quick diversion via the flat to wall mount the TV and then back to mine for whiting with sauté baby new potatoes and a spinach / blue cheese sauce. And red wine. We eat, chatted and chatted and drank. Bed by midnight, deep sleep after a long tiring but so delightful day.
