Ellesmere Tunnel

Had a trip down to Shropshire and a walk around the Meres and Llangollen Canal at Ellesmere. (Not to be confused with Ellesmere Port). Pleasant walk which included the 87 yards long Ellesmere tunnel. No flash was used in taking this image as it was only a few yards into the tunnel entrance. There is a much longer tunnel on the canal at Chirk a few miles away. Finished with a cream tea in the cafe on the side of EllesMere. Strangely most of the shops in the town closed for Saturday afternoon.

Pleasant late winter sunshine as well to warm you through shirt sleeves job at one stage.

Came home to Sea Bass with a lemon and white wine sauce with peas, broccoli and spuds followed by cherry crumble.

Its been a good day all round, what will the evening bring? I've given up the ale for Lent so will have to find some other vice to substitute.
