Dear oh Deer!.............

............Anni came for her usual monthly hair cut prior to her visit to the States at the end of next week and brought me some more flowers. We had lunch then went for a short drive out. I suggested we made our way towards Louth as I knew of a place where deer were sometimes seen - lo and behold - there they were - near the road but soon took flight when they became aware of us. Luckily enough, I managed to capture this little beauty having a rest and contentedly chewing the cud before running off with the grown ups. He/she has the most beautiful face and seemed to be smiling. I was VERY pleased to have suggested this particular spot and to find them as close to the road - I know from past experience they seldom venture so near the traffic..

Weather not bad - a mixture of sun and some heavy cloud but dry and not cold or windy - temperature 55 Deg. F.
