NEARLY THERE

The painters are finished and everything should be complete on Monday. And yes... it's purple, which won't surprise my favourite Canadian grandson as he knows my addiction to the colour. He called today and read out his letter to David Cameron. He is inviting him to visit the Island of Ulva*, where some of my grandson's other forebears lived.


*We normally keep that connection hushed, as they were the landowners who were involved in the particularly brutal clearance of Ulva, but like any historical 'fact' the degree of brutality is much disputed.
