Bird Bath

As I walked to work this morning I watched a blackbird take a morning bath in what used to be a fountain and now is a statue with a basin, perfect after some rain for the birds to wash!
Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough to snap him mid sprinkle with all his feathers ruffled, but here he sits inside the basin after an invigorating morning shower.
The day at work was long, 9am-8:30pm with the big visit and then Disney Day for Walt Disney Ireland. The theme this year was Muppets with themed cocktails for the Guests and a tower of cupcakes all different with Muppet faces and stars in bright colours, and a giant cupcake styled as Constantine which they took to their dinner reservations.
We closed the Store to the public at 6pm to do a closedown and standards hoping to re-open to the guest list at 7:30 but they did not arrive until 8:30 meaning we lost over 2 hours of trade, and therefore, sales. Not a pleasing result, but at least we had already made the day's target.
Ali and I got to leave just after the Guests arrived as Paul said he didn't need all 5 of us in, so happily we grabbed our things and headed out for double cheeseburger meals with extra mozzarella sticks at McDonalds!
Stumbling sleepily home, I had a pico cup of tea before bed.
Today I am grateful for a successful Store visit and Ali treating me to my supper.
