A reasonable day’s work

Hard to be slower than I am in the kitchen, but after much chopping, slicing, frying, huffing and puffing, we now have mango chutney, quantities of meat curry – and I turned out the freezer and the kitchen drawers. I’d feel virtuous if I wasn’t too tired. Haven’t tasted the curry yet, am letting it cogitate till tomorrow – there was an awful lot of by guess and by God about it, also for the chutney, which was a mix of three different recipes and random additions. We’ll see, but I’m optimistic (whazzat, misplaced…)?

HH went to play a round of the club championship, but his opponent forgot to turn up – wonder if he gets a walk-over? They’re already late playing this round. So he joined some friends and got the 7th before the rain started, whereupon he got two pars. A British background has to be good for something, even if it's only for playing in the rain (which is steady now, but the right sort, we really needed it). Just hope it dries up by Saturday, otherwise some people will have trouble getting up our drive.
