Release the Bison!

I'm battening down the hatches for 3 days and will be ensconced in the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Sopot, Poland until Sunday evening. So expect the usual athletics drivel.

When one is watching a championships from one's living room, it is established practice to partake of the local delicacies to recreate the atmosphere from afar. Unfortunately my only Polish supplies are in the form of a bottle of Zubrowka.

This was a souvenir from the good folks of the Vovoideship of Warmia-Mazury, when I travelled to the city of Olsztyn to participate in a regional EU environmental conference a few years ago.

The bison grass is still intact, but I seem to remember that the bottle came in a little parka jacket. I suspect it has been nabbed by the ferret that lives across the road from me, who is presently going through something of a Noel Gallacher phase.
