Joana Vasconcelos is a Portuguese artist who has an exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery at the moment. Her work is extraordinary. There is a big exhibition in one of the rooms at the top of the gallery. Her artworks are dotted around the gallery among the permanent collection. And she has created this stunning sculpture that fills all three levels of the atrium that links the three building that make up the gallery. If you are in a Manchester, it's worth a visit.
