Lone Pine

I was surprised to see this Pine tree in a special garden until I read the plaque associated with it. It's an "Allepo Pine" and what makes it so special?
It was grown from a seedling taken from "Lone Pine" in Gallipoli.
This was the site of a great loss of Australian lives in the First World War.
Zeehan in South West Tasmania is where I discovered this interesting specimen.
