Sunset

Left the lodge after a nice leisurely breakfast, fab day! And off to the northern end of the Old Ghost Rd.

A little bit of a mission to drive in, and then to find the start. And oh boy, how different to the other end! On the map it looks like it follows the river. Well, it does, but on bluffs high above, that go up and down. It’s not the steady uphill of the other side. It’s rougher, and more undulating.

After a couple of hours it was back to the car and down to Gentle Annie for dinner. Magical area and a fine lunch and relaxation on the beach. I could get very used to it, just chillin. SO wish that would happen more often …

And then north, to Kohaihai, and old haunt from many years ago, and without question one of the best beaches on the coast.

What a special evening and one I won’t ever forget. A fire, some wine, a BBQ, and a sunset.

Made even more special by people and the sunset.

Simply magical.
