Oparara

Awoke to a pretty nice morning, better than expected, and enjoyed lying in the tent, reading. Bliss!

Up, breakfast, a quick look at the beach, then off to Oparara Arches. A place I’d not been for quite some time …

Only 16km drive in, but narrow and winding, so it takes longer than expected. Then an easy 25min walk to the arch. Make sure you walk right inside the cave, to see both ends, makes it a far more special experience.

Then south, and the start of the journey home.

For all sorts of reason, pretty sad to be going. It’s an idyllic destination where you can escape the pressures of everyday life.
