'Wobbly Bridge'

We all know the famous Millennium Bridge that links St Paul’s Cathedral with Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe.

The 320m-long structure is designed by the architect Sir Norman Foster and got its Wobbly Bridge name just two days after its launch in June 2000, when there was concerns about how much it swayed! So after an added cost of 5m, and 91 dampers to absorb the oscillations, it reopened on 27th February 2002.

Anyway moving on, the bridge is now one of London big attractions and has starred in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and in Bollywood’s Namaste London too!

So what we have to do, is stop building so many walls and build more bridges!
