Pancakes!!!

It's National Pancake Day, so we all have an official excuse to eat pancakes all day.

For those who don't know the history of Shrove Tuesday- it began when people started making pancakes as a way to use up all remaining stocks of milk, butter and eggs. All that are forbidden during the abstinence of Lent.

Shrove comes from the word "shrive" which means to confess,and in the Middle Ages people use to confess to their sins so that they were forgiven before Lent begins.

Once I actually gave up fizzy drinks for Lent, as I do enjoy my diet coke and ginger beer!
