Out with the Old

Out and about today, shopping, or rather mostly not shopping as I didn't manage to find most of the things I was looking for. It turned into a nice day and I began to wish I'd gone out into the countryside. This was taken from the tram, and shows an area of the city which is being redeveloped by the University. Hendo's (the building, not the brand) will be going, as will Jessops, much to many people's chagrin. It was the old maternity hospital and holds many fond memories for a lot of local people. I believe there are no proposals to knock down the deconsecrated church just behind this scene. That's where the peregrine nest platform is located.
