Taking in a Show

Most folk would go to the West End to take in a show, but not us. We went East - to Purfleet to be precise, to RSPB Rainham Marshes, where we had a lovely day's birding. The weather stayed fine for us - cold but sunny, and we totted up 40 bird species, highlights being Marsh Harrier, Pintail, Curlew, Little Egret, Redshank, and singing Skylark. There were quite a few of these lovely Reed Buntings around, living up to their names.
