Serious Flooding in Our Town
Tomorrow is a BEEEGGG day in our family! Our dear Ronnie jr turns 21 tomorrow! Phew, can't really believe that my only grandchild is a real grown-up now!
The rain of the past few days are getting a bit much now? It seems like it is our town's turn to be in trouble now, although I must admit, the whole of Pretoria and Johannesburg seem to be in trouble due to flooding as well, Ronnie jr could almost not go to University this morning, the roads leading to The Open Window were seriously flooded, there were very few options left.
We had heavy downpours during the night and since we had quite a lot of rain for a few days in a row, the water is just too much to be drained away. Charmaine took Lillian and I for a drive this morning, this picture was taken about 1 km from our house, the little white car cam from the direction of our house, another car had to be towed out just a little while before this picture was taken.
A beautiful, huge luxury house in Birdwood, one of the upmarket estates in our town, lost a big part of the wall surrounding their property, their house is built very high above the road and the rain caused a mudslide, eish, their house sits on the edge of it now! Please pray for them to not loose their house!
