Bright Lights, Big City

An ultra early get up this morning to collect the hire car so we could all travel to London together.
It must have seemed strange to the younger contingency to get up in the "middle of the night" to drive to the airport, park in the long stay car park, get the shuttle bus to the departure terminal, only to get another bus to the Hire Car Village to pick up a new car to drive to London!
Anyway, that's what we did....
A lunchtime arrival in a lovely little flat in Bethnal Green allowed us the rest of the day for lunch, toy shopping, sightseeing, & the Rainforest Cafe for tea. Lots was packed into the day & for a little boy with a slight preoccupation with transport, the Tube was incredibly exciting- & he wouldn't leave Marley's side for one minute...
