a bit of blipping

A lovely day. The little fella woke up happy after a good night and the sun was shining.
We got ourselves together and walked down to the beach. There is an easy pathway all along, but we made very slow progress as all the pebbles had to be examined, and many of them tossed into the sea and their noises imitated. Interesting sticks were found and carried a long way. Big boys on skateboards were watched with great interest, ice creams were eaten and an absorbing hour was spent at the playground by the beach before lunch in the cafe there.
The long walk home again tired us all out.
Then we had to say goodbye to the girl, she set off back to London. But it was really good to see her.

Mummy and Daddy have not been mentioned at all. He seems perfectly happy, but ready for bed at the normal time tonight and asleep in an instant.
