The weather turned out well and I needn't have worried. It was bright and pleasant and there was a fantastic view of West Cork from the air.

Arriving by train to Portsmouth Harbour is always exciting and I planned to blip HMS Warrior which is the first thing you see on emerging from the station.
But then on the Gosport side I saw this and it made me chuckle. Battleships lined up across the way but it's the rocks that are dangerous !

I had a lovely evening with the family. The little fella was delightful. I helped get him to bed and had a run through his routine. It turns out I'm in charge for the whole weekend.
My daughter in law went out for a while so it was a good chance to catch up with my son.
