ALTERCATION

This Urban Heron is trying his luck & has come into conflict with the Rook or Crow who thinks he is on this patch.

The Heron is sitting on neighbour Joe's roof, probably spying Joe's fish pond which he has in his back garden.

I was lucky to see it & catch a few shots. I'd looked out of the bedroom window & seen a Red Kite so I zoomed down the stairs, grabbed the camera & dashed outside quietly....no Red Kite.

Then I saw something bigger flying from right to left. I shot down the side path to see what it was but couldn't see it. As walked away I heard the noisy altercation & saw the 2 birds near Joe's roof. I managed to fire off about 10 shots before the Heron left in a hurry.
