Woke up to -18 (F) degrees today...

...But the temperature did climb some as the day went on and a few birds came out eventually. By mid-afternoon my car said it was 15 degrees... much more doable! :)

This White-breasted Nut Hatch spotted me and gave me the classic up-turned pose I love so much. He's lookin' good in large.

Thank you for all of the great comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's big boy! Those Pileateds sure are fun to get to photograph. :)
