Early End To Christmas

catching up on my blips...

My impending surgery forced me to do things I would not normally have done. Like taking down my Christmas tree before St. Patrick's Day.

This year was especially difficult. It was a new tree - larger than my old tabletop version. When I assembled this one, I had to hammer the two pieces of the base, which you see sticking out of the box, together with each other. This forbade me from taking them apart to put them back into the box when it was time to put it away.

I also couldn't squeeze the branches of the tree tight enough to fit back into the box. So there was no way that sucker was getting into its original container.

So this is how I stuck it in the closet. I don't know if that will be it's permanent home or not. It's a wee bit inconvenient, to say the least.
