Bunting

I am such a plonker! I sense a lot of nodding heads and it isn't surprising. Last night as I was ensconced on the sofa, in my onesie with a hot drink in hand, thinking it was time to snuggle under the duvet with a hot water bottle, I received a text from Ellen...Did I know you could see the Northern Lights tonight?...Oh crikey, what a dilemma...should I just go to bed where it was lovely and warm or should I get dressed, go out into the cold and search for a green glow?

Well, of course I chose to go out. The car was starting to freeze and it was so cold. There are too many trees near me so - I had to go off...but where? Rivington...yes it is higher up and hopefully not as many lights. Well I set off on the motorway, but like a plonker I was on the wrong one, I was heading to Liverpool! I came off and whizzed back along the way I'd come. My phone was on the passenger seat with the compass app open, although I have to say it is not advisable to race along the motorway, checking where North is and scan the sky...it's a good job I had three empty lanes at my disposal, there weren't many people out at nearly midnight.

So, Rivington...I started again. I really should have gone to bed as my brain was obviously already asleep. Yep, I went the wrong way again. I couldn't believe I was being such a ditz but I decided to head to the Last Drop as that was definitely high up. I managed to get there...and scan the sky...but I didn't see anything glowing. Bed was the sensible option.

I overslept this morning...for some reason...and so I didn't go swimming as planned. I have spent the day typing and reading. Although the sun was shining I really couldn't be bothered going out so a quick pic of some bunting will suffice.
