White Temple

We got up and headed out on the scooter to visit the white temple. I have to say at this point we are getting pretty bored of seeing temples but WOW this place is absolutely stunning. It has to be the nicest temple we have ever visited and I do not think the photos do it any justice. The only weird part of the temple is the paintings on the inside that depict the bombing of the twin towers with two snakes and fuel dripping into the mouths of men. I listened to tour guides talking about all the paintings but never mentioning anything to do with this segment talking about the twin towers. I do not think things like this have any place in religious buildings and their views should be kept to themselves. We also bumped into a guy we met in Koh Phanghan called Chris and he also told us another couple we met were also at the temple.

So it was back on the scooter and this time we headed north to visit Baandam museum. It's also called the black house for obvious reasons. It was an artist who built about 20 structures in a field and it looked amazing. Mostly everything is made out of wood and other natural substances.

It was back to our accommodation so I could set up a linkedin account and update my CV.
