Milk Coma!
At 19 months, I can still picture Maple as a tiny newborn in the same drunken state! Precious times.
We had a wonderful day today. I took Maple to The Little Gym and was amazed at her free spirit and strength! She was very excited about the gym equipment and was one of those children, (I've never had before), that wouldn't sit on my knee during circle time, but instead ran around the room exploring!
She loved rolling down the sloped mat, crawling through the large hoop, rolling her body over the moving cylinder and hanging from the bars (Strong arms). She didn't let go when I lifted her toes to her head whilst holding the bar.
Time and time again, I see the children shine in different areas. It's so easy to worry about what they are not doing.... And then there are the parents that compete with their little babies. It's good to be celebrate their achievements, but it would be so boring if every child walked at the exact same age... I don't want my kids to be clones. Embrace diversity.
Tonight Maple astounded me by getting the potty off the wall where it hangs and sitting on it before the bath. I couldn't believe it when I saw she did a wee! She's learnt from her big bro and sis.... I can't take any credit! I wonder if it will continue! She is probably going to be a bit like her big sister who wanted to toilet train quite young. See, all that funny walking and the classic third-child slower talking evens out.
