Tartufo

Today was our book club luncheon. We all met at this new Italian restaurant in town for a nice meal and some talk about the book we just read. The book was called The Outside Boy, by Jeanine Cummins and it was a wonderful heartwarming story.
After drinks and discussion about the book, we enjoyed our lunch and then began discussing what our next book would be.
We had plenty of great suggestions, but settled on A Train in Winter, by Caroline Moorehead.
We finished with lunch, then the server came over to ask us who would like coffee, cappuccino and dessert. One of the choices was a tartufo and two of the women ordered it. The word "Tartufo" means "Truffle" in Italian. For anyone who doesn’t know, it is an Italian ice-cream dessert. It usually has two or more flavors of ice cream and is covered in a shell made of chocolate. I just had to take a photo of this yummy dessert for my blip.

Bitter cold air had hit our area and the wind makes it feel even colder. I’m snuggled on the sofa with a nice warm blanket and my eyes are feeling heavy. I think I’ll turn in early tonight.
