Leaving Copacabana Beach at 4pm

A day of logistics and spectacular technical failures committed by yours truly as I tried too hard to emulate DIYd's efforts of yesterday. How many of you have cut through your power cable that feeds the wifi box with a pair of scissors! Look no further than the owner of this journal for a prime example of such idiocy! I reckoned the cable sticking out of a whole group of bound cables was the redundant one from the old box we no longer use...but, sadly, no, it was the live one! Life, for an hour, was very nearly not worth living until I got the doorman to do a bit of magic with pliers, soldering tools and insulating tape to restore the flow of electrons and Dd's connection with the WWW!
