A little ray of sunshine

Big Cat Diaries

As our plans of ice skating and swimming with granny were out the window, I took the children to the zoo today. We make a yearly visit there and each time discover something we haven't seen before. Last time the most exciting new experience was the bat house, which I didn't expect C to like. February has turned out to be the best visit so far with most of the animals easily visible, including the jaguar which we have never managed to see before. Lots of lovely photos taken today so hard to pick a favourite but went for this as it was new to us.

On returning to my parents, all a little tired, the children chilled out with granny in front of Madagascar 3, and once the little 'uns had gone off to bed, the grown ups sat and watched Life of Pi; a book I've tried to read a couple of times but not quite managed to get into, so this was a cheats way of finding out the rest of the story.
