Betsy's Birthday

Betsy is a teenager!!!

She was very pleased to have an inset day, though Al was not happy to have to go to school and also not have a birthday!

We took Al to school and then went for a cuppa and to the bookshop. and then Betsy and I went to open her first bank account - she was very excited.

Then we went to Kingston to Yo! Sushi for lunch, then to the cinema to see The Monuments Men, which we both enjoyed.

Then home for tea and presents. Betsy was thrilled to get what she was longing for......

She also got some Sherlock things, an I Am Sherlocked wallet, and a t shirt that says,'Honey, you should see me in a Crown', which she loved.

We had birthday trifle instead of cake at Betsy's request - but if course we had candles on it.

We are having a family celebration on Sunday and there will a proper birthday cake then.

Can't believe she's 13.
