Silver coin collection.
I happened to come across some silver coins that had laid dormant in my home for many years and decided to investigate something about them. They were minted in 1966 when Australia changed over to decimal currency.
There was no equivalent in the former sterling currency so this was a new addition. They contained a high content of silver and it wasn't long before the government discovered that indeed the silver was worth much more than the value of the coin.
A quick withdrawal from circulation resulted and a cupro/nickel coin replaced it.
I wonder if it's worth a visit to E Bay?
