Beech Tree cut down to size

The tree surgeons discovered a systemic fungal infestation which had weakened the tree considerably and made it prone to falling in high winds as we have been having lately. So now it is a safe height and the good burgers of Dublin, who travel the road on the far side of our end wall, safe and out of danger. We now have a big pile of timber for the woodstove.

The garden looks strangely bare, tho'
