Fixing the Fur Seal's Ear

I went to the National History Museum at Tring this afternoon to view the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2013 exhibition,

100 fantastic photographs. Well worth a visit - its on at Tring until the 10th March. But you can also catch it at these locations

I was caught taking photos of the photos by my friend whom I'd arranged to meet as she works at the Museum. She was not impressed!

So instead of my favourite shot from the professionals you get this.
These girls were fascinated by the exhibits that had been taken out of their display case for specialist restoration by the taxidermist.

It was great to see a notice explaining what was being done and it obviously pays off as the older girl read the information to the younger and pointed out the defects on each animal.

Cake and coffee were involved, making it a very pleasant outing.
