W is for Watch Mechanism

This is my dad’s pocket watch, which I have inherited. It was a gift from my mum and I doubt if he ever used it and it doesn’t really have any intrinsic value but is lovely and will be one of those things that can be handed down as a family heirloom. I wonder who will be presenting Antiques Roadshow in a hundred years.

Getting towards the end of this month’s alphabet challenge and I am not yet prepared for tomorrow. Of course that may give the false impression that I usually think of these challenges in advance but tomorrow’s challenge is going to be especially difficult if I leave it to chance.
