A Day of Two Halves ...

What a ridiculous expression - unless you have the misfortune to die at midday the day will surely always have two halves, won't it?

It's like the 'It'll be in the last place you look' expression. You'd be a fool to keep looking after you'd found your lost thing.

Don't mind me - I'm feeling a bit pedantic.

A morning spent continuing the marathon bedroom clearance (meanwhile the fallout is cluttering up the rest of the house)

I had to get out in the afternoon and spent my time doing my favourite thing - lying on a wet beach stalking the waders.
