Yes - you've just missed it ...

It was my bird group today and we went to a location where we hoped to see goshawks and kites ...  it was really windy, but we saw a few kites and several buzzards, goldcrest, brambling - but it wasn't great for photography ..

In the afternoon I went to a nature reserve where a few people had recently taken photos with SIX bitterns all in the same shot! Amazing! When I entered the hide I asked if anyone had seen a bittern ... see my title ^^^

Ah well - I had fun feeding a very tame robin and saw this beautiful drake gadwall making a bit of a splash in the sunshine ..
