A leap of faith

Mrs Smith made dinner for her Mum and Dad this morning which we took round to their house. Unfortunately her Dad is now in so much pain that he couldn't move from his bed. I whisked the kids off to the local play park so they didn't get to see or hear too much. I know we'll have to tell them about their Granddad soon but until we know the result of the next round of scans there's really not much constructive and supportive we can tell them.

The Doctor visited the house while Joe was leaping around having fun at the park with his sisters. Jack is now on morphine. We are all trying to be as positive as possible but every day seems to become more painful for him. This has all happened in the space of a few weeks so we're all struggling to get to grips with it.
