Nest egg

I've had some ivy ripped off a back wall recently, and this little fella was hiding inside. I've no idea how long it's been there but I haven't seen any birds flying into it this year, so it's possibly really old.

It was an exercise in focus for the Canon, as it kept wanting to focus on the twigs and not the egg. I used the whole deal for the first time - tripod and cable release. But I still think there's a tad of focus missing on the egg. Perhaps should have opened it up another stop.
