Sewing day
Today I again spent most of the day sewing, so I took a shot of my favorite glass-head pins. I love these because I can steam the ever-loving piss out of them in my fabric and they don't melt! I don't know how many times I've melted my pins to my iron. I'm participating in a sewalong and contest for a new pattern release from Colette Patterns. It's a duffle style coat called the Albion. I've gone absolutely crazy and I made a coat for Hubs. Then I adapted the pattern and made one for Little Princess. Now I'm making an unlined version for myself. I'm going almost bonkers with this pattern! I stayed up really late last night making bias tape and spent a huge portion of today bias binding seams. Oh my, I think I'm completely sick of this pattern now. The prize for the best coat is a new Bernina sewing machine and I'm absolutely obsessed with winning. I have no idea what my chances are but I've been throwing all my energy at it.
I haven't been running in over a week which is making me feel blah and gross. I'd hoped to get out today and get some nice mountain shots, but I've been so busy obsessively sewing. I have a race I signed up for in April and I need get some mileage in. Gotta get at it this week!
