A MORNING SPENT LOG-SPLITTING
I just want these enormous logs stacked as soon as possible now so the bluebells get their chance to come through. Today they were split, tomorrow they'll be stacked - weather permitting. They stay this big while they season for a year or two in the woods. They are still too heavy for my one sneaky neighbour to be tempted to steal them (it only takes one) but they'll stack better and season better opened up like this. Being oak, these are ultimately destined for the charcoal kiln.
