PROUD OAK / EMERGING LOG PILE

I made a fresh start on clearing up my work in the woods today - with any luck the bluebells will recover in time if all the harvested oak, ash and hazel is log-piled with care. This is just the start for the 'log collar' on this old oak whose canopy has been thinned to prolong its life and to open up some light into the woodlland understorey.

Today it was sunny. I'll be back again tomorrow in the drizzle.
